FIFA World Cup 2026 Kids Activities: Printable Brackets, Scorecards and More

0

The 2026 World Cup is a perfect family event. With games in normal viewing hours across the USA, Canada and Mexico, parents and kids can watch together without late nights. Here are the best kid-friendly World Cup activities to use during the tournament.

PRINTABLE WORLD CUP BRACKET

A printable knockout bracket is one of the most engaging tools for following the FIFA World Cup 2026 Kids Activities. Start with the 12 groups and fill in the team names as you watch the group stage results. Then draw arrows forward as teams advance through each knockout round.

When the Round of 32 bracket locks in after June 27, add the matchups. Continue filling in round by round. By the Final on July 19, the bracket should be fully filled in with results. Any bracket completed this way becomes a keepsake from the tournament.

PRINTABLE GROUP STAGE TABLE

A printable group table for each of the 12 groups lets kids track points, goals scored and goal difference after each match. This is a practical introduction to how standings work in soccer tournaments.

After three matchdays, kids can practice identifying which teams advance automatically, which might advance as third-place wildcards and which are eliminated.

WORLD CUP STICKER ALBUM ACTIVITY

Traditional World Cup sticker albums have accompanied every tournament since 1970. Panini produces the official 2026 version. Collecting and trading stickers for all 48 teams is one of the most globally popular kid activities around the World Cup.

Start collecting before June 11 to have team stickers ready to discuss when groups are announced.

COUNTRY FLAGS AND CAPITALS QUIZ

The 2026 World Cup includes teams from 48 countries across six continents. Use the tournament as an opportunity to learn flags, capitals and geography. Print a world map and mark every country competing. Identify where each team's players come from and what languages they speak.

Countries like Cape Verde, Curaçao and Uzbekistan are genuinely new to many young fans. This is a perfect geography lesson.

PREDICTION GAME

Before each match, have kids predict the score. Award one point for guessing the correct winner, two points for guessing the correct score. Track predictions across the group stage and knockout rounds. Whoever has the most points at the end of the tournament wins.

This game works for adults too and keeps every match relevant even when your favorite team is not playing.

WORLD CUP TRIVIA FOR KIDS

Age-appropriate trivia questions to use during the group stage:
How many teams are in the 2026 World Cup? (48)
How many goals are needed to win the Golden Boot? (Whoever has the most at the end)
Which country has won the most World Cups? (Brazil, 5 times)
Which team is the defending champion? (Argentina)
Which is the smallest country in the tournament? (Curaçao)
What is the name of the tournament Final venue? (MetLife Stadium)

BUILDING TEAM KNOWLEDGE

Help kids pick one or two teams to follow for the whole tournament. Let them read about those teams' players and history. This creates emotional investment in results. When France vs. Senegal plays on June 16, a child who knows the 2002 story will understand why it matters.
